2009
The inspiration for this piece was the diverse communities living in and around the site, the location and the area I was given as a canvas.
Land and Sea describe two great energies that co-exist and sculpture the form of each other’s shape. The cartoon imagery of the fish and sheep appeal to all ages and tell their own stories.
There was a process of consultation with the architect and the committee and there was great consideration given to the use of the space as a community gathering space adjoining a place of worship and a local primary school.
